You want genuine advice? Then keep what I've said here in mind. Stomp corpses after every battle or mid battle if you've got the time for a chance to get ammo and explore whatever you can, and of course don't forget about the storage rooms. Contact beam is also good at softening up targets, it's also good at obliterating them with it's secondary. The ripper is fairly decent with it's standard firemode, but if you use the alternate to shoot out ricocheting saws it's really good, especially if you soften up an enemy first with the force gun or flamethrower.
The line cutter is a plasma cutter on steroids and is VERY good, but limited by a slow fire rate and less ammo. While pulse rifle is weak, it's also pretty good at dealing with swarmers and if used in tandem with something like the flamethrower, it can be real deadly. Use the force gun or flamethrower to soften up enemies or keep them at bay. Use your weapons effectively and manage your ammo. Ammo did become a bit scarce, but that's why you're able to carry THREE other weapons on you. Boy, I started hardcore for my first playthrough and didn't die once. You need to be pretty bad at games to fail this badly, and on easy mode. Thanks to the developers Dead Space 2023 is burning rubbish nothing more! The Dead Space games are like, probably among the easiest games out there, you literally pick plasma cutter and click on legs then arms. Dead Space 2-23 is another instance of a great game turned into garbage because developers sell out to professional gamers at the expense of casual players! I hate how games are optimized for people with hyper able bodied people whose only vocabulary is Get Good! Games that are designed only for people who play hardcore difficulty is killing gaming. All the enemies in the game are bullet sponges to a degree. There are times I run out of ammo in Dead Space 2023 especially trying to kill the bullet sponge Leviathan.
Dead Space 2023 is totally screwed up in that ammo is rare. Turns out playing Dead Space 2008 you get a ton of ammo enough that it does not in any way hinder game play.
